Watch to see our fun Cardboard Arcade!
As we near the end of the school year, we are enjoying some of the more playful aspects of our math and language arts standards. Third graders are polling classmates and recording data and then learning various types of graphs to represent the information they have gathered. We will be looking at what types of graphs best display different kinds of data, and students will be creating their own polls and selecting ways to share what they have learned in their queries. In language arts, we are finishing up a personal narrative project and beginning a creative writing unit. Students are using the grammar, spelling, and narrative skills we have worked on all year and putting them to creative ends in writing stories.

Our Bishop's Ranch field trip will be a great adventure for this great group. Your child will be exploring the local watershed as we hike and learn about native plants, macroinvertebrates, erosion, and land conservation. All the while, we will be enjoying the sunshine and the excitement of a first overnight school trip!
